After working for some hours in Revit it is likely that users will have many views open, it can be quite a tedious process to find the correct view. The ‘Close Hidden View button’ is indeed useful for some tasks but sometimes you may want to keep those views open for model checking etc.

Many users know about the Ctrl + Tab shortcut which lets you browse forward through multiple views. But, it is so easy to go too far and then users tap around again to display the desired view. However, there is a reverse gear! Just hold down the control and shift key to go backwards through your list of views!

This technique also works with AutoCAD and many other Windows applications!
