Sheets in Revit can become confusing for some users for various reasons. New users can have difficulty, as they behave slightly different to standard views and families, and some users may have issues updating existing sheets with new title blocks. The below guide should cover most of these issues.

Loading a Title Block Family

There are 2 ways to load a title block family. You can load any family using Insert tab of the ribbon, then click Load Family:

Or start to create a new sheet, by going to the View tab on the ribbon, then click Sheet:

Here you can also Load a title block family:

Create a New Sheet

To create a new sheet with this family, pick it from the list and click OK:

We now have our new title block on a new sheet:

Updating a Sheet Title Block

If you want to update an existing sheet with a different title block family, select the title block on the sheet, then from the properties drop down, choose your new family:
